Recently, the Dietary Guidelines for Adult Stroke (2026 Edition), prepared by the National Health Commission, was released, which proposed to "increase the intake of high-quality vegetable protein, such as soy protein." It was clear that soybeans (including soybeans, green beans and black beans) and their products are conducive to regulating blood lipids and preventing atherosclerosis. It is recommended that 100-175g soybeans be consumed every week.
This guideline aims to prevent and control the occurrence and development of stroke among Chinese residents, and promote the improvement of dietary habits and nutritional health status among stroke patients. Based on the joint discussion and consensus reached by the expert group, 8 principles and suggestions are proposed for the daily food and nutrition of stroke patients. Among them, "it is recommended to appropriately increase the intake of potassium rich foods (such as fresh vegetables, fruits, beans, etc.)", "it is recommended to increase the intake of calcium rich foods (such as milk, yogurt, tofu)", "it is recommended that the proportion of mixed beans and potatoes rich in dietary fiber and B vitamins should be increased as the staple food of stroke population", "it is recommended that soybeans, beans and their products" are mentioned in many places in the Guide, and it is clear that "adequate high-quality protein intake is very important to improve the nutritional status, neurological function recovery, and quality of life of stroke population in the process of disease treatment and rehabilitation." And "soybeans and their products, such as tofu, sugar free soybean milk, etc." are listed as the "preferred food recommended by stroke population" ". Spicy shredded bean curd, dried bean curd, jujube soybean milk, stewed bean curd with cabbage, pot collapsed bean curd, dried bean curd vegetable roll, kelp bean curd soup, fresh shrimp bean curd soup, etc. are included in the diet applicable to stroke people.
